Oslo CTM3 – A global chemical transport model
The Oslo CTM3 is an off-line global chemical transport model (CTM),
developed at the
Department of Geosciences
at the University of Oslo (UiO)
and later at Center for
International Climate and Environmental Research – Oslo (CICERO).
All maintenance and development has has now migrated to
CICERO.
The model has comprehensive chemistry for the troposphere and an optional comprehensive chemistry scheme for the stratosphere. It is driven by meteorological data from the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF) Integrated Forecast System (IFS) model.
The Oslo CTM3 transport is inherited from the CTM developed at the University of California, Irvine (UCI), while the chemistry is developed at UiO. Oslo CTM3 is an upgrade of the Oslo CTM2, and these web pages do in general apply for both Oslo CTM3 and CTM2.
In addition to the traditional tropospheric and stratospheric chemistry, the Oslo CTM3 can also be run with several other chemistry or physics applications. See the menu for further details on this.
If you want to become a Oslo CTM3 user, or have other questions regarding the model, please contact CICERO, or send an e-mail to the user mail list: oslo-ctm ® geo uio no
