January 2 -7:  NORAD winter seminar at Sanderstølen – giving a key-note lecture on the 3^rd entitled: Culture and learning in a new environment – reflections by a cultural commuter      
January 7 -10: Editing book from the LEA conference with Ingse and Jennifer  at Beitostølen  
January 22: Lecturing on Globalisation and Education at HIT, Porsgrunn.                       
January 24 - 30:Lecturing  in peace studies in Tessaloniki and Athens  in Greece

February 5 – February 12: External examiner of doctoral thesis at the UWC, Cape Town
February 12 – 20:  Steering Committee in LOITASA in Gordon's Bay, South Africa,  planning  of  LOITASA - phase II
