February 1 – 9 :  Steering Committee in the LOITASA project at IMPALA hotel in Arusha, Tanzania,
 annual reporting, planning the coming year’s activity                                                                                               
Februry 28 -  March  14: Workng on a book project with Kwesi Kwaa Prah in Cape Town and doing
field-work on the LOITASA project                                                                                                              

March16- 22:  CIES conference in New York                                                                                        March 26 -28: Course to prepare for the shifting of job

April 1 - 27: Research at the UNESCO Institute of Lifelong Learning (UIL) in  Hamburg, editing of a                   special issue of International Review of Education                                                                                         April  5 - 7:Back to Oslo for a birthday party of a dear friend                                                                      April 11-15 :Back to Norway for a meeting                                                                                              April 17: Lecture for the Weltweite Stiftung on:  Bildung für Alle – in wessen Sprache?

April 30  – May  4: Conference and birthday party in Oslo                                                                              May 8  – May 12: Opponent of  a doctoral  dissertation at the University of Tromsø
May 18 - 19: Editorial board meeting in IRE (International Review of Education) Hamburg
May 23    : Conduct research proposal seminar at the UiO                                                                       May 24 :  Lecture at the Norwegian University for Sports on Education and Development
May 30 - June 1: Lecture to a group of young activists working for developing countries at a workshop in Tønsberg. My lecture: Education in Africa - for whom and in whose langage?

June 2 - 4: Examiner at the UiO
June 25th: Participate in a plenary panel in connection with the 11th annual meeting of Human 
Dignity and humilation Studies in Oslo (24th - 27th June).

July : Holiday, lots of guests - making scrap book from IMPLAN and party

August 6 – 12 : Danish - Norwegian seminar in Denmark                                                                       August 13 - 19: In Beaujolais for a friend's wedding
August 21 - 22: Teach at the University of Oslo

September 2 - 4: At the WCCI (World Council for Curriculum and Instruction) conference in Antalya,Turkey. Giving the key note lecutre on the 4th: Education for a Culture of Peace in a globalised word- strategies for curriculum and implementation
September 5 - 7: BAICE conference in Glasgow,Scotland                                                                         September 8 -17: Editing of LOITASA V in Tanzania
September 20 - 27: Invited presenter at the 2008 Institute of African Studies (IAS) International Conference at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies in South Korea. Lecture to undergraduate and graduate students on the  22nd .Present my own paper at the conference on the 25th, participate as one of the presenters on the 26th
September 29 - October 3:  Teach at the University of Oslo

October 3- 4 : Seminar in Stockholm on the Nordic languages , stay at hotel Bentley                                    October 8 -15: At Stanford University – 50ieth anniversary  -giving a talk on LOITASA                                       October 16 -18: Lecture at Alliant University in San Diego                                                                              October 19 - 23:  With relatives in Minnesota

November 7: Celebration of the 70ieth birthday of the Institute for Educational Research                               November 19 - December 10: Fieldwork in Tanzania, editing IMPLAN book with Gunnar
