Darwinian Happiness

The book "Darwinian Happiness - Evolution as a Guide for Living and Understanding Human Behavior" describes how the evolutionary perspective can be used both to understand humans and to extract advice on how to improve quality of life. It offers a philosophy of living based on science. The first edition came in 2002, and a 2. expanded and updated edition in 2012.

The book can be obtained from Amazon.com (where there are reviews and customers comments), from Amazon.co.uk or from the publisher (books@darwinpress.com). The first introductory chapter is available here.

Another book on why and how religion can improve both individual life and society “God – A Scientific Update” (The Darwin Press, 2011) is available from the same sorces listed above. It is probably the first serious “bible” ever written by an atheist.

I have also published related books in Norwegian:

"Genene - Din indre guru" (Grøndahl Dreyer, 1996). This book is no longer in print, but can be obtained from the author.

”Gud – En vitenskapelig oppdatering” (Flux Forlag, 2008) is available from book stores and the publisher
