Genetics

Much of my work in virology concerns viral genetics. I have also worked on human and vertebrate genetics, including work on the lysozyme gene of fish, on endogenous retroviral elements, on a gene (CCR5) that have a drastic impact on the susceptibility to HIV infection, and on how gene expression in human cells is influenced by various factors such as viruses and immunomodulating agents.
