Introduction

Well here we go again. I was able to get in touch with Steve O'Rourke today after repeated attempts lately. The conversation was brief but highly revealing. With all due respect to Steve, I feel he has lied to me in the same way that Gilmour has in those interviews. He does reveal things, and contradicts himself at many times. Note at the end of the conversation, he tells me to keep "plugging"- or searching and investigating the Enigma!!!! He knows of all of it, but will not admit to certain things. Not how he knows when the signals were projected, but also says he doesn't know of the signals. I would probably do the same thing he did in the situation, he lied, but also admitted things because I confronted him so much and had knowledge of different aspects. I have to really sit down and think about this. It appears, there will be an ending, and something still exists. The message I get from Steve, is we must Keep Talking...

The interview

SO=Steve O'Rourke
SM=Sean Heisler

SO: Hello.

SH: Yes, is this Steve?

SO: Yes.

SH: Hi Steve may name is Sean Heisler I appreciate you taken your time to speak with me.

SO: Oh, that's quite alright.

SH: Do you have a few minutes?

SO: Sure, ah as long as it's not too long.

SH: Sure that's fine. I have met Marc Brickman on the internet and have had a couple telephone conversations with him in the past week or so. What I am calling you about is, ah, I am calling as kind of a "voice" for the Pink Floyd newsgroup. And yes it is in regard to the enigma. I know about the whole idea and where it came from, and the encryptionist idea...

SO: Well you know more than I do. (laughter)

SH: Frankly we have been, us in the newsgroup have been- I mean we are still trying to figure out this puzzle. And obviously you guys have stopped posting, we ah....just don't know if should keep going?

SO: We never posted. Ever, ever, ever. It didn't eminate from us, we never posted, I don't know.

SH: How about when you told Marc to to project those signals at the concerts.

SO: Told Marc to project signals?

SH: In the lights.

SO: That's news to me. (laughter) Marc wasn't even there when those signals were projected, his wife was ill he wasn't even there.

SH: Right he missed the first one, but he was at the Earl's Court projection.

SO: No, no.

SH: Do you then know of any "puzzle" at all, if you are not affiliated with it at all do you know if there is a sort of a puzzle?

SO: I'm sure that someone will get to it at the end.

SH: So there is some sort of a puzzle?

SO: I'm sure, I'm sure that someone will get somewhere at the end of it.

SH: At the end of it?

SO: Yes, I'm sure someone will. It seems to be there's far too much ah, going on in this, for it to be of no value whatsoever I am sure there is something at the end of it. Hoever, I do know that Pink Floyd, myself, or Marc Brickman...

SH: Or Nick Mason?

SO: Have nothing, or Nick Mason, have nothing whatsoever to do with it.

SH: Really.

SO: Right.

SH: So is it fair to say maybe we should keep discussing it in the newsgroup? Maybe we should keep anaylzing?

SO: I mean ah, my son is (laughter)

SH: Oh really.

SO: He's on it.

SH: Have you read any, or much of the newsgroup yourself?

SO: Yeah, oh yeah. I'm well aware of all of it.

SH: Really. Some of the analyzing...

SO: My son, he keeps me up to date on it.

SH: Really...(laughter). Can you make any sense of it yourself Steve?

SO: Ah, I try not too. (laughter).

SH: I was thinking Steve, that you were going to say it was all joke and that would be the end of it.

SO: (laughing) Well if I felt that I would tell you that.

SH: But it didn't eminate from some sort of encryptionist in Washington D.C. and you took the idea, and...

SO: No.

SH: Nothing like that at all.

SO: No.......well not to my knowledge anyway. Alright, I mean saying "no" is to say that I have some other knowledge. I have no knowledge of the fact- if it did you know more than I do. (laughter)

SH: So in other words there wasn't any sort of a conscious effort among Pink Floyd as they recorded The Division Bell, they never put any sort of a puzzle in it- within the music and lyrics and the artwork?

SO: They may have done, but they haven't told me about it...but that wouldn't be the first time that they haven't told me something. (laughter) Anyway listen, have a good Christmas and keep plugging away...

SH: Keep plugging away?

SO: (laughter)

SH: I will

SO: Ok.

SH: I appreciate it Steve.

SO: Alright, bye.
