Interests: I work in philosophy of language, philosophical methodology, and related areas in epistemology, metaphysics, and philosophy of mind. My first two books - Insensitive Semantics (Blackwell 2004) and Language Turned on Itself (OUP 2007) - were co-authored with Ernie Lepore. Lepore and I have also co-authored many papers on a wide range of topics (including indirect speech, semantic minimalism, contextualism, and quotation).

My third book, Relativism and Monadic Truth (OUP 2009), was co-authored with John Hawthorne.

My fourth book, Philosophy without Intuitions, is being published by OUP in February/March 2012.
