Hans-Petter Hersleth

I am currently working as a Researcher at Department of Biosciences, University of Oslo in K. Kristoffer Andersson’s lab, where I am combining protein crystallography and single-crystal spectroscopy (Raman and UV-vis). The proteins studied are haem proteins (myoglobin, nitric oxide synthase, cytochrome c, catalase-peroxidase) and different flavin proteins and their function, interaction and reaction mechanism. A special issue of interest is the X-ray induced radiation damage of redox- and metalloprotein crystals.

I am also involved in teaching, and otherwise in organising the Norwegian Chemistry Olympiad.
