Research interests of Jim Tørresen
My research interests at the moment include evolutionary computing
(and evolvable hardware), bio-inspired computing, reconfigurable computing, adaptable systems,
robotics, 3D-printing
and motion tracking and analysis related to music.
I am interested in how different technologies and methods
can be combined for designing systems for complex applications. In
particular I find the following topics of special interest:
- Incremental evolution of systems.
- On-line adaptable/reconfigurable hardware systems.
- Designing systems for real-world applications.
I am interested in starting research
collaboration both with people involved in research on the topics above, as
well as people working on specific applications, where the methods
may be of interest. Feel free to send me an e-mail if you find this
interesting.
