I started as a Ph.d. student and research fellow at the
Institute of General
Practice
and Community
Medicine in 2004. My research project concentrates on vitamin D metabolism and bone mineral density in ethnic Norwegians
and Pakistani immigrants living in Oslo, and it is part of the The Oslo Health Study. I created these webpages in February 2004 and I am continuously trying to improve them...

I defended my thesis for the degree Ph.D. 22nd February, 2008. The title of my thesis is: "Vitamin D deficiency, alterations in the
vitamin D endocrine system and bone mineral density in ethnic groups in Oslo, Norway".
