Dear visitor

My name is Kirsten Haaberg and I am a master student at Physics of Geological Processes (PGP), at the University of Oslo. PGP is an interdisciplinary center where physicists and geologists collaborate to explain how nature works.

My background is from geology and I got my Bachelor degree at the Institute of Geology at the University of Oslo. Before coming to Oslo I started studying mathematics and physics, first in Bodų (one year) and later in Tromsų (half a year). Then I came to my senses and became a hard rock geologist. My field of interest is petrology and geochemistry, and for my master thesis I am processing data achieved from fieldwork on a saucer shaped sill intrusion in the Karoo sedimentary basin in South Africa. More about my current work can be found under the link Research.

Enjoy!!
