Picture of me
A small epsilon, in fact me,
pondering how to cope with
some pretty complex functions,
such as walking.
(I had already solved
the drinking problem.)

After 19 years of random walk through fields of music, poetry and painting, I arrived at the University of Oslo where I finally settled down in the mathematics department. Here I completed my PhD thesis on fractals in March 2005 under the supervision of Professor Tom Lindstrøm. If you want to know more about my work, a brief and popularized abstract (in Norwegian) is available here: "Summary". A full version of my thesis (in English) is also available: "Injective Mapping Systems and Self-homeomorphic Fractals". > Image of a Julia set
