Fagområder: Relativistic Heavy-Ion Collision Theory/Theoretical High Energy Particle Physics/Computational Physics Computational physics is applied for simulation of relativistic particle-particle and nucleus-nucleus collisions. Both perturbative and non-perturbative methods of Quantum Chromodynamics are used. Predictions for pp-collisions and Pb+Pb collisions at LHC energies are being made. The main topics of investigation are - signatures of deconfined (Quark Gluon Plasma) - confined matter (Hadronic resonance gas) phase transition and - influence of chiral symmetry restoration on mass of the resonances - general characteristics of particle production like multiplicity, energy-momenta, KNO-scaling, - anisotropic flow (directed and elliptic) of the particles produced in pp and in AA collisions, - femtoscopic correlations and the particle emission zone - freeze-out of the particles - soft and hard particle production - jet production and jet modification (jet-quenching) - photon physics - resonance decays - heavy quark particle production Databasen oppdatert: |
