an old Chinese proverb: if you plan for one year - plant rice if you plan for ten years - plant a tree if you plan for one hundred years - educate "educate" - what does it mean for you? does it mean the same for you and me? do you think that decision-makers in your community or in your country have heard or read this proverb?
My education, experience and work is in the field of Special Education. A large part of my work is international, preparing the ground for, or improving, special education in developing countries.
As representative of the Department of Special Education, Faculty of Education, University of Oslo, I have worked with in-service-teachers and university faculty, staff and students in Mexico, Costa Rica, Cuba, Bangladesh, Nepal, Indonesia, Namibia, Uganda and other countries, and - of course - Norway.
