Who am I?
Well, for those of you who don't know, I'm a 30 year old Post doctor at the Department of Physics at the University of Oslo. I defended my Ph.D. thesis on September 5 2007, perhaps I'll get around to posting some pictures...

My main field of expertise is Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) and related technniques. In particular I've been working a lot with Electron Energy-Loss Spectroscopy (EELS) and Quantiative Convergent Beam Electron Diffraction (QCBED) which can be used to study the electronic structure of materials.

But if I were to say something about my general scientific interests, I'd have to point out that materials related to new energy technology is an area where I see some of the most exciting technological and scientific opportunities.

If you want, you can take a look at my CV (in norwegian) or in english.

I also have weblog, but many of the posts are in norwegian and are concerned with norwegian politics.
