A very theoretical project closely related to experiments. The theoretical description of Electron Energy Loss Spectroscopy (EELS) is useful in order to extract more information from experimental results. The master project started out with a lot of fundamental theory and advanced into a lot of programming and simulation. The project involved theory within electromagnetism and solid state physics.
Synthesis and characterization of nanoparticles within a semiconductor matrix, applicable for future photovoltarics. An advantage is good understanding of chemistry as well as physics.
