These pages are undergoing quite serious editing these days. Because of the current state of the page, some of the content might be in norwegian and some in english. My goal is to translate it all to english eventually.

01.11.04 Octree traversal I've finally implemented an octree algorithm. Allthough it's far from finished, the time it takes to render triangular meshes is is reduced in a magnitude of maybe 95%. For more info click here
01.11.04 More links I know it's been a while since the last update here. School is taking up a LOT of time these days. Anyhow.... take a look on the links page. There's some additions now. Stay tuned for more news.
08.04.04 Fake fog I've had this idea for a simple fog implementation for a while, and today I finally got the time to implement it.
18.09.03 3ds files It's now possible to import files of the .3ds format into the application, and ray-trace it.
22.06.03 Beer's Law I've finally completed the glass material. With Beer's Law implemented, it's starting to look like real glass. Take a look by clicking here.

Fresnel reflections and dielectics

Today i finally managed to implement fresnel reflections correctly. It took some time to understand how to use it properly, but now it seems I've managed to do it. For a more detailed description, click here.

First animated sequence created

As I created a function that saves my bitmap structure to a .bmp file, I got the opportunity to automate the rendering of a sequence of shots. I created a short camera-movement to demonstrate it. The clip can be seen here.

Triangles & mirrors

I've done some major implementations in my ray-tracer. Now it can handle triangle-primitives! I've also started working on a mirror surface implementation. I've put some screenshots out here.

I've just reached the point where I'm able to create a picture with my new ray-tracer. The model i very simple, but is meant as a test to see if everything is as it's supposed to. To se the picture, go here.

Inverted matrixes

Automatic generation of the inverted matrix, is to hard for me to implement at this point. More details here.

Matrix class in Ray tracer

Improvement of stylesheet

I've done some changes in the stylesheet on this page. This has probably made the page appear more similar on all browsers, which wasn't the case before.
