Field of activity: Law librarian. As an author, editor and publisher of books, author of periodiacal articles and as a lecturer, my main professional interests have been related to matters concerning remedies for the retrieval of sources of law. I also concern myself with questions regarding the technological development and its increasing importance to research libraries in general. In consequence, I am especially absorbed by the significance and the possibilities given rise to by the electronic development, within law libraries as well as in other areas of law in practice. I am responsible for the professional construction and elaboration of the electronic library reference system BibJure. From 2001 I am editor of Norsk Retstidende, the Norwegian publication with Supreme Court decicions.

The Law Library: In addition to the main library (situated in Domus Bibliotheca), The Faculty of Law Library consists of eight department libraries (situated in several different buildings) as well as a learning centre (in Domus Nova). The Faculty of Law Library permanently employ 20 persons in addition to some 15 part-time student workers. The collection of books consists of approx. 300 000 volumes.
