I am a Researcher at the Department of Chemistry and Center for Materials Science
& Nanotechnology.
The quest of mankind in exploring world of materials is remarkable
ever since the stone-age. In order to improvise its lifestyle mankind is
never-hesistant in exploring new materials and exploiting their properties.
With the advent of high-power computers and efficient softwares, materials research reaches fascinating
new frontiers. The development in material science and computer science
complement each other interestingly.
I am working on density-functional calculations on
fundamentally and technologically-significant materials. My current area of research include: Trasnparent-concuting
oxides for opto-electronic applications, Magnetic oxides in two-dimensional nanostructures,
Spin, charge and orbital ordering in perovskite-like oxides, Electronic, magnetic and optical properties of oxides.
