SUP-symposium June 5th and 6th 2003

As a part of the Strategic University Programme in Pure Matemathics (SUPREMA), funded by The Research Council of Norway, there will be a "start-up" meeting Thursday June 5th and Friday June 6th at Soria Moria hotel and conference center in Oslo.

Three series of three lectures each will be given by:

Uffe Haagerup (Odense):
"Applications of Random Matrices to Problems in Operator Algebra Theory".
Klaus Hulek (Hannover):
"On the modularity of Calabi-Yau varieties".
Graeme Segal (Oxford):
"1. An approach to quantum field theory, 2. Two-dimensional field theories as geometric objects and 3. What is an elliptic object?".
