Sabita Maharjan is a Senior Research Scientist at Simula Research Laboratory, and an Associate Professor (adjunct position) in University of Oslo, Norway. Prof. Maharjan received her Ph.D. degree in Networks and Distributed Systems from University of Oslo, and Simula Research Laboratory, Norway, in 2013. She worked as a Research Engineer in Institute for Infocomm Research (I2R), Singapore in 2010. She was a Visiting Scholar at Zhejiang Univeristy (ZU), Hangzhou, China in 2011, and a Visiting Research Collaborator in University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign (UIUC) in 2012. She is the author of more than 65 articles that include her publications in prestigious journals in her field such as IEEE Transactions on Smart Grid, IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, IEEE Transactions on Intelligent Transportation Systems, IEEE Communications Magazine, IEEE Network Magazine, IEEE Wireless Communications Magazine and IEEE Internet of Things Journal. She serves/has served in the Technical Program Committee of conferences including top conferences like IEEE INFOCOM and IEEE IWQoS, summer schools, winter schools and research seminars with more than 100 participants. She is also the recipient of two Best Paper AWARDS: IEEE SCALCOM 2015 and IEEE CS CLOUD 2016. Her current research interests include vehicular networks and 5G, network security and resilience, smart grid, cyber-physical systems, machine-to-machine communications, and software defined wireless networking and advanced vehicle safety.
