Everything in the world by nature its simple, it is those clever people make it complicated. This is Safiqul Islam, who believes in simplicity (yet considered as an ultimate complexity), a PhD student in the Networks and Distributed Systems Group, at the Department of Informatics, University of Oslo where I am working under the supervision of Professor Michael Welzl, and my research topic is coupled congestion control. PastI hold a Masters Degree in Information and Communicational Technology specialized in Internetworking from KTH - The Royal Institute of Technology , Sweden. I have done my Masters Thesis at Ericsson Research, Sweden and My thesis topic was HTTP Video Streaming with Dynamic Advertisement Splicing. Perviously, I worked as a Senior Lecturer in the Computer Science and Engineering Department of Daffodil International University , Dhaka, Bangladesh. Besides Academia, I have worked as a Software Quality Assurance Engineer, and also worked with research teams in Ericsson on Video Streaming projects. Research InterestIt’s my passion to work with new technologies. I prefer to work specially on Network Layer (Layer 3) or above in the OSI model. My research interest is centered around IP networks (Routing Protocols, Quality of Service (QOS) and Future Internet), Information Security, peer-to-peer networks, mobile networks, mobility management, network architecture and management, wireless sensor networks and adhoc networks. |
