SUP-symposium May 26th and 27th 2005

As part of the Strategic University Program in Pure Mathematics (SUPREMA), there was a joint workshop for the research groups in algebra, analysis and geometry/topology on Thursday May 26th and Friday May 27th at Sundvolden Hotel.

There where two series of lectures aimed at a broad mathematical audience.

Yan Soibelman (Kansas State University):
Homological mirror symmetry, deformation theory and rigid analytic geometry (abstract)
Jesper Møller (University of Copenhagen):
Homotopy Lie groups and their classification (abstract)

The slides from Møller's lectures are available here. A survey article on p-compact groups written by Jesper Møller is available here.

The slides from Soibelman's first lecture are available here.

The second talk was based on the article "Affine structures and non-archimedean analytic spaces" by Maxim Kontsevich and Yan Soibelman.

The third talk was based on an article by Soibelman called "Lectures on deformation theory and mirror symmetry". It is available at his web page http://www.math.ksu.edu/~soibel/  under the link "Two lectures on deformation theory and mirror symmetry".
