Welcome to our homepage.

Our research group is part of the Life Science Section at the Department of Chemistry at the University of Oslo. On this page you will find information about our research interests, our ongoing research projects and our research group.

Research Interest

Our research interests are within the areas of asymmetric organic synthesis and medicinal chemistry. We focus on the development of new reactions and new reagents which can be useful for the synthesis of drugs and pharmaceutical ingredients. Our medicinal chemistry focus is on CNS-related diseases such as depression.

Research group

Our research group is a nice mix of bachelor, master and PhD students. One of our major goals is to have fun, both in the lab and in the office. In order to have fun, we are particularly emphasizing two things:

1. To have an inspiring and challenging working environment, both in the lab and the office.
2. To work on research projects which are challenging scientifically and relevant to the rest of our society.
