SPICE-Research Training Network - Uio research homepage

Welcome to the SPICE-RTN - UiO research homepage!

SPICE Research Training Network and the University of Oslo (UiO):

SPICE is a European network which aims at integrating institutions with specialisations in physical, mathematical, geological, and computational aspects of elastic wave propagation, mostly aimed at seismological applications. The University of Oslo (UiO) takes part in the project, with 13 other European Universities or Institutes.

Tasks in which the UiO is involved are the so-called T3 and T4 mostly on elastic wave propagation at planetary and continental scale:

Research domains:

We are developing following research domains within seismology: Polarisation anomalies, Multiple scattering, Anisotropy and Surface waves.
