Master's Thesis

Title: Full Configuration Interaction Simulation of Quantum Dots (PDF, DUO)

Numerical simulation of quantum dots, electrons trapped in a two-dimensional harmonic oscillator potential, using the FCI-method with the Lanczos algorithm and effective interactions to perform the calculations.

Results:

• Ground state energies for systems of electrons up to 13 electrons and dimension of basis up to 2.55 × 10¹⁰.
• Spectra of ground state energies within blocks of total spin and total m.
• Analysis of the composition of the ground state wave function as a function of ω
