I'm a Professor at the Institute for Theoretical Astrophysics at the University of Oslo.

My worldline is something like this: I have started my life in the tropics, in Luanda, Angola. From there I went to the Technical University of Lisbon, in Portugal, as an undergraduate. It seems that Portugal was not cold enough for me, hence I travelled to England to take the PART III of the Mathematical Tripos, at the University of Cambridge. There, I also received my Ph.D. from the Department of Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics, working with Professor John Barrow. The rain seems to have drown my brain and so I worked in the UK for another two years as a postdoctoral researcher in the Physics Department at the University of Oxford. After six years in the UK, I crossed the chanel to the continent and went to Germany where I spent 2 years at the Institute for Theoretical Physics at the University of Heidelberg. My tropical origins needed to experiment a real winter and I end up moving up towards the artic circle. Well... not quite up there... yet! :)
